Build A Kaleidoscope Class - May 16 Saturday 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
Maximum of two people per class
All Classes are held at 1310 S. Market St., Kokomo, IN
This class is designed for the intermediate to advanced stained-glass artist. Here you will produce a working kaleidoscope that you will take home. This is a very attractive and popular item in our store. As a project it provides the opportunity to improve soldering skills as well as learning how to construct 3D objects.
All materials and supplies are included in the price of the class. We provide all of the tools that you will need.
It is required that students are already familiar with using patterns, cutting glass by hand, using a glass saw, grinding glass, and soldering with foil and lead. If you have not done these things before, you will need to take a basic or intermediate class prior to taking this one.
Call us at 765-457-1829 or email OpShop@KOG.com with questions. Classes can fill up fast, so you will want to sign up early; you can also schedule private classes. Classes are one time only, during the date and times specified.
All Classes are held at 1310 S. Market St., Kokomo, IN. Please check in at the Op Shop when you arrive.
Because most of our courses involve working with materials that are either very hot or very sharp, safety is our first concern. Safety glasses are required while in our studios and gloves must be worn while handling glass. These are provided by KOG. Please come dressed appropriately. Legs must be fully covered and open toed shoes are not allowed. We suggest that you wear older clothing to class, being that some of the courses can get messy. Also, the studios can be cold in the winter so dress according to the weather.
