Artistic Statement

In the Hot Glass Studio my work draws on the simple dialogue of basic design elements that provide a canvas for active surface treatment. Work such as the fossil series is an example of an extremely animated and fluid surface flowing over a form that compliments the imagery presented. Other pieces such as the ring bowls allow dissimilar shapes to softly embrace one another to create a relationship between color and form.
