Representing Michigan, David Dilworth was born and raised in Farmington
Hills, a suburb of Detroit. David earned his Bachelors of Science
degree from Michigan State University in the winter of 2001. While
attending Michigan State, David spent a semester conducting
Anthropological field studies and participating in a general studies
program in the Royal Kingdom of Nepal. After studying in Nepal, David
was drawn to the idea of living and working overseas. In 2002, this
desire led him on an unforgettable journey to Malta, a beautiful
Archipelago in the Mediterranean Sea.
During his stay in Malta, David gained an apprenticeship with a
glassblowing team at Phoenician Glassblowers and Tiffany Glass.
Initially, he assisted the team by managing a gallery connected to the
studio. Shortly after, he began working with the glassblowing team,
producing studio glass for local and international clients.
In 2003, KOG Hot Glass Studio hired David as a glassblowing assistant.
He continues to work at KOG where he melds his passion for the arts and
business.
