"My first realization that KOG was far reaching in the world of glass was at my 50th high school reunion. One of the members of my former high school class asked me where I lived. I responded Kokomo, Ind. She immediately told me she taught a course in stained glass windows at the local college, and all her glass came from Kokomo Opalescent Glass in Kokomo, Ind. She knew more about KOG than I did."

July 11, 2011 - Indiana Economic Digest - Kokomo glass company opens web facilities
Since opening up the KOG web shop, people representing 123 countires have visited, including glass and heavy-metal sculptor Jeff Rumaner, who partnered with KOG for glass art supplies for some of his sculptures.

July 2, 2011 - Globe Gazette - Perfect fit for Historic Park Inn
Kokomo Opalescent Glass Co. was often used by famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright. When John Larsen was seeking sheet glass for renovation of the Wright-built historic hotel in Mason City, KOG dug up a 100-year-old machine to create the glass for him.

September 8, 2010 - Kokomo Tribune - Donnelly visits Kokomo Opalescent Glass factory
During U.S. Rep. Joe Donnelly's visit to KOG, he rolled his sleeves up and learned to pour hot glass. He made a molded glass keepsake paperweight in the shape of Indiana.

June 10, 2010 - Kokomo Perspective - Old way of learning
Thanks to Howard County Historical Society, students toured Kokomo Opalescent Glass and learned about the science of glass-making.

March 26, 2010 - Kokomo Tribune - Glass Trail proving popular
Locals and tourists alike love the Indiana Glass Trail. KOG is proud to be a part of the glass trail!

January 12, 2010 - Kokomo Tribune - Discover OP Glass on TV Today
Discovery Channel's "Factory Made" filmed the sheet glass production process at KOG. The crew followed the process from the beginning, explaining how workers measure ingredients for a glass’ color.
