The pots are set in the furnace. We have a 12-pot furnace affectionately known as the 'beehive' (left), an older 8-pot furnace (not pictured), and a day tank (below), which holds larger batches. |
| The day tank (right) contains no pot at all. It's just refractory brick, batch and flame! We use it mostly for running several days of clear base in streakies, or opal base in opalescent mixes. |
